Pacific White-sided dolphin

The Pacific White-sided dolphin also has the scientific name of Lagenorhyncus Obliquidens. This dolphin specie lives in cold and mild seas as well as in the North Pacific Ocean.

Despite the fact that the Pacific White-sided dolphin lives in a specific region, it is not on the endangered dolphins list and can be observed, if lucky, during a dolphin watching tour.

The menu of this type of dolphin is mainly composed of fishes and cephalopods. The Pacific White-sided dolphin is smaller than its close cousin, the Atlantic White-sided dolphin. Its length can attain up to 2.3 meters long and its weight varies between 140-150 kg.
